Online Learning Overview:

Online learning is a way to gain new knowledge, skills and thought via structured studies delivered over the Internet. Some of the many benefits include learning at your own time, going at your own pace, and participating with a community of learners who share similar backgrounds, interests, and goals.

Online courses in The Institute of Metaphysical Studies are geared toward people, like you, who want to learn about spiritual philosophy, but who may not have the time or the resources to attend face-to-face classes in North Carolina or in the United States.

In order to participate in any Institute of Metaphysical Studies online courses, you must have -
  • a computer (PC/Windows or Macintosh)
  • a reliable, high-speed Internet connection (dial-up is not suitable)
  • an email address
  • good processing speed (1 gigabyte of RAM minimum)
  • Adobe Reader*
  • Adobe Flash Player*
  • Skype for instant messaging (free download for Windows or Mac)*
  • a headset microphone (with USB end ideally)
  • optional: a webcam
* Flash, Adobe Reader, and Skype are free programs. Instructions on downloading and installing these programs can be found at their respective websites.
