Kathy has been intimately involved in understanding the "science of living" ever since she was born in Salem, Illinois in 1930. As the second of five children, she came into life sick to present her parents with an additional challenge during the Depression years. At six months old she had the whooping cough, which went into double pneumonia, and gave her parents the shock of their lives by dying. The family physician declared Kathy dead and the blankets were pulled over her face. While the physician sat at the dining room table signing the death certificate, she began to cry under her shroud.
Kathy's mother told her this story after Kathy was an adult, a mother, and very sick with another disease. Kathy always thought her mother told her about dying because her mother was still trying very hard to understand why her daughter was still living and why she had spent her life with a passion and a mission to overcome any disease that had the audacity to challenge her. To Kathy, this experience is a normal part of her life as an evolving consciousness. Her passion and mission of personal healing are the same passion and mission she feels to teach the simple truth of who we are as spirits learning to be human.
Kathy is a "real-life" philosopher for our time because in sharing her own wisdom, in the Spiritual tradition of Pythagoras, Socrates, Hippocrates, Hypatia, and other great philosophers of old, she defines our dual soul and spirit consciousness in relationship to the miracle of our body. To Kathy, every question about the nature of our human life is important. If you feel stimulated by the knowledge of what it means to be human and the power of our creation in everyday life, then you are a Seeker of Knowledge in the same tradition that drew great crowds of thinking people in ancient times. We are all equal, as teachers and students, yet at this time in our world philosophers in the Spiritual tradition of practical wisdom are few.
Annapolis was Kathy's home for more than twenty years. Her great-grandfather was married in St. Anne's Church in 1728, so choosing to live in Annapolis was for her a "journey home" - just as Spiritual Philosophy teaches, the generations of life fulfill their cycles. In 2004 she moved to Chatham County, North Carolina, where she enjoys her busy life on a peaceful acreage full of birds and much more.
Since 1984 Kathy has been teaching classes, seminars, and retreats around the country with a focus on understanding our human consciousness. Spirit Consciousness: Our Intelligent Design is her 8th book published by Joy Publications. Kathy is the premier teacher and writer about Spirit Consciousness. In this book, Kathy reveals what being Spiritual really means. All "healers" and "Spiritualists" must function from the Spiritual Energy level to be effective. Kathy uses Neural Depolarization™ as the cornerstone of all disease therapy, which cannot be used effectively until we can incorporate our Spirit Consciousness energy into this therapy. Spirit Consciousness: Our Intelligent Design tells us why we are all "healers" by design and how to understand and activate our healing potential. She was taught this internal energy healing therapy by her Spirit Consciousness as a child and has been doing energy healing from her Spirit Consciousness professionally since 1984. Her track record speaks for itself. Kathy has helped clients heal terminal cancer, depression, fibromyalgia, glaucoma, dyslexia, carpal tunnel syndrome, and a long list of other diseases. Kathy teaches the truth of us as evolving energy and matter, so as she teaches the design and life purpose of us as human beings, she also does dying and death therapy to help those facing death as the greatest change of all. We are eternal beings, and the gift of knowledge of our human design as evolving energy and matter gives us the strength and peace to live our life, our death, and the lives that follow with love and the wisdom we gain through our experience. Kathy's compassion as a nurse and her wisdom as a spiritual philosopher remain true in her personality and presence today.
Kathy's forty years of experience as a registered nurse include twelve years of medical research in transplant and immunology, sixteen years of health care administration and management, and twelve years of emergency health care. She speaks with honesty and a depth of understanding seldom found in the medical arena. Since we have not been taught about the power of our internal spirit, the belief system of our culture has focused upon an external God and an external physician as being responsible for saving our soul and our body. Medical science today does not understand the nervous system and the function of nerves in our body as energy and their relationship to our matter. Kathy understands the nervous system as the energy of life, and understands the language of our infinite Spirit senses and our physical body to help the mind and body heal itself. Kathy's life experiences taught her that our belief systems must change for us to become healthy as individuals and as a society. Her interaction with personnel, families, patients, and with individual clients as a spiritual teacher has created an expansive understanding of the personal power of healing within each of us.
